Which Release Kit tool should I use?

Release Kit has four tools. They look similar from outside, they do different jobs. Pick by what you are trying to do, not by what sounds most professional.

The four tools at a glance

Pick by use case

"A booking agent asked for my EPK." Send them your Press Kit link first (it has everything, always current). If they specifically want a PDF, also generate a One-Sheet.

"I'm dropping a single on Friday and I want playlist consideration." Generate an Editorial Pitch at least 7 days before release date. Copy the text into Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, and any independent curators you have a line on.

"My album drops tomorrow and I want press to cover it." Generate a Press Release and send it to your press list. The format is what journalists expect, so they can quote from it directly.

"A label wants to see what I'm about." Send your Press Kit link. If they ask for a PDF, generate a One-Sheet too.

"I just got signed / hit a milestone / announced a tour." Generate a Press Release. This is the moment a press release is built for.

"A sync supervisor asked for my materials." Send your Press Kit link plus a One-Sheet PDF.

How they relate

  • Press Kit is your always-on reference. Set it up once, share the link forever.
  • One-Sheet is the PDF snapshot. Same data, different format, attachable to email.
  • Press Release is moment-specific. Tied to one announcement.
  • Editorial Pitch is platform-specific. Tied to one release and the DSP curators who decide what gets playlisted.

You can use all four for the same release. The Press Kit holds your identity. The One-Sheet gives a printable handout. The Press Release goes to press the week of the drop. The Editorial Pitch goes to DSP curators 7+ days before.

Cost reminder

All Release Kit tools share one credit pool. Buy credits at Dashboard → Credits. Press Kit is the only one with no credit cost (free with Pro).
