Switch Instagram to a professional account

Ads need your Instagram set to Business or Creator (both work). It's free and reversible.

On the Instagram app

1. Go to your profile and open the menu (top right).
2. Tap Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Account type and tools → Switch to professional account.
4. Choose Creator (best for artists) or Business.
5. Follow the prompts; you can skip the optional steps.

Back in BCKSTG, hit Recheck setup.

Note

Switching to professional unlocks insights and ads. It does not change how your profile looks to fans.
