Wisin signed a new deal with Sony Music Latin, announced on November 3, 2026 in Miami by Sony Music Latin president Alex Gallardo.

Wisin signed a new deal with Sony Music Latin, announced on November 3, 2026 in Miami by Sony Music Latin president Alex Gallardo. Under the agreement, his upcoming projects will be released through his own label, La Base Music Group, with Sony handling global marketing and distribution. Wisin keeps creative direction, according to the announcement published by Nevárez PR.

Financial terms, length of the deal, territories and any ownership split were not disclosed, and neither source gives them. What is public is the structure: the label is Wisin's, and Sony works as the partner that takes the music worldwide.

What the deal covers

The arrangement separates two jobs. La Base Music Group is the imprint under which the music is released, so Wisin decides what comes out and how it sounds. Sony Music Latin supplies marketing and distribution on a global scale.

That is a common shape for established acts that already run their own brand and team. The artist-owned label stays at the front, while the major supplies reach. Wisin's legal team on the deal was Oswaldo Rossi and Diego Quintero of Rossi Baldivia Klein Fine & Spector, per the announcement.

Speaking to El Nuevo Día, Wisin framed the signing in personal terms: "regresar a Sony Music Latin es volver a casa."

Timing with the tour

The announcement came ten days before the Universidad del Perreo World Tour opens with two nights at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, on November 13 and 14. The Universidad del Perreo project, which Wisin has built into a brand of its own, already counts more than 2 million registered students, according to the coverage of the signing.

That puts the new distribution partner in place as the tour begins, with the Puerto Rico dates serving as the opening of a run that Sony's global marketing will now support. Neither source details how the tour and the label agreement are formally linked, so that connection is one of timing rather than a stated term.

What comes next

The next releases under La Base Music Group are the first projects to move through the new setup. No release dates or titles were announced with the deal. Tickets and updates for the Coliseo shows and the rest of the tour are posted on Wisin's official Instagram.
