Jowell & Randy will play a live, one-time set from Puerto Rico on Saturday, October 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET, as the next episode of Amazon Music City Sessions. The show streams on Amazon Music, Prime Video, Twitch and TikTok. No venue has been announced.
The announcement came through Amazon Music Latin's own post, which Metro Puerto Rico picked up on October 21. Amazon also lists the event on its live events page.
How the series got to Puerto Rico
Amazon Music brought City Sessions to the island in an April 30 press release. The Puerto Rico run is set up in San Juan, and it opened with Yandel on May 5.
The same release launched comPRa Local, a storefront for Puerto Rican businesses. So the series is tied to something beyond the music: a shopping destination for local companies sits alongside the concerts, and both are pitched to a global audience.
Jowell & Randy are a natural fit for that format. The duo is one of the best-known acts in Puerto Rican urban music, and a set filmed on the island carries its own pull for viewers outside it.
Where to watch
The set starts Saturday, October 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Viewers can watch on Amazon Music, Prime Video, Twitch or TikTok, and the event listing is on Amazon Music. Amazon has not announced a venue or any release tied to the performance.
