Gala V reveals the story behind "El Deseo"

In March 2025, Gala V was going through a process of emotional transformation. After a period in which her compositions were shaped by more introspective feelings, the artist began exploring new emotions and a different perspective within her creative process.
The song was born from an everyday instant. While she was at home, humming a melody and petting her cat, a phrase emerged that would become the starting point of the track:
"Yo no sé lo que me haces sentir" ("I don't know what you make me feel").
From that line, Gala found the direction of the song and managed to complete the composition in approximately one hour. Beyond becoming a new piece of music, "El Deseo" represented an important moment in her artistic evolution: it was one of the first songs she managed to finish entirely in Spanish.
Although Gala acknowledges that for years she felt more comfortable writing in English, the singer explained that this track opened a new creative door. Spanish allowed her to approach a more vulnerable and personal style of writing, connecting with emotions she wanted to express from a different place.
But "El Deseo" is not only about a romantic connection.
