Anuel AA says he is making a corridos album, which he called "un regalo que le tengo a México." He spoke with Leila Cobo at Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami Beach on Oct. 20, 2026, according to Metro Puerto Rico. The project has no title, no release date and no tracklist.
He said the corridos record could come out alongside Real Hasta La Muerte 2, but only "posiblemente." That is not a confirmed separate release. Remezcla's summary of the interview treats the corridos project as something he is exploring, not something scheduled.
The November album
Real Hasta La Muerte 2 is the reggaetón and trap album Anuel has said is due in November. A celebration is planned around his birthday on Nov. 26. The corridos material may ship with it or on its own, and he did not commit to either.
For a Carolina trap pioneer, the timing matters. His last album, LLNM2, came out four years ago, so the next full record is already a long-awaited one. Moving part of it toward regional mexicano changes what listeners should expect from it.
Why Mexico
Anuel said he spent more of 2026 in Mexico than in the United States. He named Peso Pluma, Fuerza Regida, Tito Double P and Netón Vega as the acts he listens to now, according to Remezcla.
He also said he will record with Jesús Ortiz Paz of Fuerza Regida. No song title or release plan was given for that session.
The move follows earlier work with the genre. He has collaborated with Natanael Cano, Luis R Conriquez and Oscar Maydon, which puts him in contact with the corridos tumbados scene that Peso Pluma and Fuerza Regida helped take to a global audience. Billboard's Latin coverage, including Billboard Latin Music Week, is where the interview took place and where further updates are likely to surface.
What is still open
Nothing about the corridos album has a date. The only fixed points are the November target for Real Hasta La Muerte 2 and the Nov. 26 birthday celebration. Whether the corridos record arrives that month, later, or as part of the main release will depend on announcements from Anuel and his team.
