SMS Blasts
Text your fans directly from the Blast composer. SMS blasts run on the shared BCKSTG sender number (or your own dedicated number when assigned), credit-based per send, with per-fan opt-in and STOP/AYUDA carrier compliance built in.
SMS is live and sending
BCKSTG is A2P 10DLC approved with US carriers. You can send to your guest list right now from the Blast composer. No application required on your end, your account is covered by the platform registration.
Per-artist sender numbers, in testing
We're testing the assignment of an individual dedicated SMS number per artist. The benefit: a fan's STOP only severs the relationship with you, never with another artist they've also opted into. Today, sending works on the shared platform number; the per-artist number rolls out as we verify the routing under load.
How fans opt in
They enter their phone in the fan-page subscribe form and check the SMS opt-in box with the TCPA-compliant disclosure copy. They can reply STOP (or AYUDA) at any time to opt out, that's carrier-level enforcement.
Credits
SMS blasts spend credits from your shared messaging pool (the same pool email blasts use). Credit cost varies by destination, US numbers are cheapest. Buy more in /dashboard/credits.
What you can't do
- Send to fans who haven't explicitly opted in.
- Use SMS for promotional language without the required opt-in language on the form.
- Send to fans who replied STOP (carriers enforce this; we double-enforce it).

Updates (2026-06-12)
- Own number required. You cannot send SMS to fans without your own assigned number. See Your own SMS number.
- Quiet hours. Any message sent to a fan inside their local 10 PM to 8 AM window is held automatically and fires at 8 AM their time. You see the held count in the send result; credits are charged once, never twice.
- STOP footer is automatic. Every send appends "Reply STOP to end" so you do not need to add it yourself.
- Fan intros are free. When your number activates, every opted-in fan gets a one-time intro with your contact card. No credit cost.
