Setting up your account

Setting up your account

When you first sign up, you walk through a four-step setup. It takes a couple of minutes. You can change anything later.

Step 1, Type

Pick what kind of account this is:

  • Artist, for musicians. Releases, pre-saves, tour dates, social links, merch, and your Guest List.
  • Content Creator, for non-music creators. Social links, merch, Guest List. No releases or tour dates.
  • Media, for photographers, videographers, and editors. Portfolio, credits, and a booking inbox.
  • Venue / Promoter, for spaces and people putting on shows. Showcase your venue or events, sync from Ticketmaster, and connect fans with the artists you book.

You can change this later in your account settings, but the rest of the setup adapts to your choice.

Step 2, Find you

This step depends on what you picked.

  • Artist, we search Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Tidal, and YouTube for your name. Tap Use on any result and your name, photo, and latest release pull straight in. Mix and match across services if you want. You can also skip and fill everything in yourself.
  • Content Creator, we search Twitch, Kick, and YouTube for your channel. Same flow.
  • Venue / Promoter, we search Ticketmaster for your venue or events. Pick yours and your name + upcoming shows pull in.
  • Media, there's no autofill here. Instead, you tell us your specialty (photographer, videographer, editor) so the next step adapts.

Nothing on this step is required. Skip it if you'd rather type everything by hand.

Step 3, Details

This is your public-facing profile setup:

  • Profile photo, upload an image and drag to frame it. Square for most account types, 4:5 portrait for Artist and Creator.
  • Name, what fans see at the top of your page.
  • Your public URL, bckstg.co/yourhandle. Pick something short.
  • Location, country, region, city. See Your home location in this help section for what this powers.
  • Bio, one or two lines.
  • Social links, add up to three here, or skip and add them all from your dashboard.

For Media accounts this step is your portfolio kickoff instead of a fan-facing page, same fields, different framing.

Step 4, Launch

Final review. You'll see:

  • A preview of your BCKSTG pass
  • A summary of what you set up
  • A short data-ownership confirmation (you own your fan data, can export it anytime, we never sell it), required to launch

Tap Launch my page and you're done. Your page is live at bckstg.co/yourhandle.

Changing things later

Everything you set in onboarding is editable from your dashboard. Type, name, URL, photo, location, bio, links, all of it.
