The Verified badge is a small "VERIFIED" pill that renders next to the genre tag on artist and creator public pages. It signals to fans that this is the real, claimed account, not a fan-built or duplicate page.
Pro members can request it
The Verified badge is a Pro perk. Free accounts see the verification card on their profile with an upgrade CTA; Pro and Lifetime members see the request form.
Once you're on Pro, you can submit a verification request from your profile settings. We review each submission manually. No bots, no automated checks, just a person reading your request and deciding.
What we look for
- A claimed BCKSTG profile that matches the name on your DSP page, official socials, or press footprint.
- A clear connection between the account holder and the artist or creator (label confirmation, distributor account on file, press feature, verified Instagram with matching name, etc.).
- A profile that's filled in. Real photo, social links, music or content live on the page.
If we can't tell from the request that the account is the real one, we follow up by email before deciding.
What it looks like
A neon-flicker pill in your accent color, sitting beside the genre pill below your name on the public page. It reads VERIFIED in English and VERIFICADO in Spanish, matching the viewer's active language.
What it doesn't change
Nothing about your features, tier, or account access. The badge is identity-only, it doesn't unlock anything, doesn't bypass any limit, doesn't change your trial or billing. It's purely a visual signal of authenticity.
If you're on Free
The verification card on your profile shows an upgrade CTA instead of the request form. Upgrade to Pro at /signup or from your billing page, then the request form appears.
