Messages is where you talk with other people on BCKSTG: venues, promoters, photographers and videographers, other artists and creators. It sits under Industry in your dashboard. Fans don't reach you here. When fans text your number, those conversations live in Fan Texts.

Messages comes with Pro.

Start a conversation

Tap + New Message and search by name or handle (type at least two letters). Pick the account and write. You can message any claimed BCKSTG account except fan accounts.

You can also tap Message on someone's BCKSTG page while you're signed in.

You and each person share one conversation. Writing to someone you've already talked to picks up that same conversation.

The tabs

All: every conversation.
Media: photographers and videographers.
Venues: venues and promoters.
Projects: shoots you've set up with a photographer or videographer. A project conversation starts on its own once you accept their offer to shoot and they confirm.

Shoots and bookings

When a photographer or videographer offers to shoot one of your shows, the offer arrives here as a message, and your bell lights up. A conversation tied to a show carries a Booking tag and shows the event, its date and the place.

Notifications

Every new message lights up your bell. You also get an email when someone starts a conversation with you, or writes after the conversation has been quiet for a while.

To stop the bell for messages, go to Account Settings, then Notifications, and turn off Messages. That switch covers the bell only, not the email.

Good to know

Messages are text only. Links you send are clickable, and the latest ones collect next to the conversation.
There's no "seen" marker.
You can send up to 30 messages a minute.
