How Guest List Works
Guest List is your fan CRM. Email + SMS subscribers, segments, custom tags, bulk actions, dual-channel composer, and the message history all live under one tab at /dashboard/email-list.
The 4 tabs
Guests, your full subscriber table. Filter by segment (Email-only, SMS-only, Both, Super-Fans, Unsubscribed), apply custom tags, select across pages, and run bulk actions (tag, segment, remove). Server-side pagination so large lists stay fast.
Messages, the dual-channel composer. Pick Email, SMS, or Both. Audience defaults to your full list; narrow by segment or tag. Send history sits below.
Tools, auto-notify channel choice, Meta audience export, import-export CSV, Stay Connected card with the share link.
How it works, quick reference for new artists. Tier limits, SMS rules, credit costs, what each segment means.
Segments
- All, everyone subscribed.
- Email, has email, no SMS opt-in.
- SMS, has SMS opt-in.
- Both, has both.
- Super-Fans, opted into auto-notifications for at least one type.
- Unsubscribed, STOP'd or unsubscribed; shown so you can audit, never targeted.
Tags
Free text labels you apply to fans. Use them for hand-curated groups (VIPs, press list, label friends, "saw me at SXSW 2026"). Tags are GIN-indexed so filtering is instant.
Dual-channel composer
Pick Email, SMS, or Both. If you pick Both, BCKSTG sends the SMS to fans opted into SMS and the email to fans on email-only, same blast, one composition, no duplicate sends to a fan opted into both (SMS wins).
Import re-entry guard
When you import a CSV, BCKSTG checks each row against your suppression list (fans who STOP'd or unsubscribed). Suppressed contacts stay suppressed, they never get re-added by an import.
