Gift Subscriptions

Anyone can buy BCKSTG Pro as a gift, no account required to send. The recipient gets a redemption code by email and unlocks Pro on their account.

How to send a gift

Go to bckstg.co/gift.
Pick Pro, 1 Month ($12) or Pro, 1 Year ($120).
Fill in your name, your email (for the Stripe receipt), and the recipient’s email.
Click Send Gift and complete checkout in Stripe.
You land on a thank-you page. The recipient is emailed a redemption link within seconds.

How a recipient redeems

They open the email titled "[Your name] gifted you BCKSTG Pro".
They click Redeem Your Gift, it opens bckstg.co/redeem?code=XXXXXXXX.
If they don’t have a BCKSTG account: they’re prompted to sign in or create one. The code is preserved through the signup flow.
If they’re signed in: they click Activate Gift and their account flips to Pro for the gifted duration.

How long the link is valid

90 days from the moment the gift purchase clears Stripe. If the recipient doesn’t redeem within 90 days, the link expires. Unredeemed gifts are not auto-refunded, contact support@bckstg.co if there’s an issue with the recipient’s email.

What happens if the recipient already has Pro

Already on a Pro trial: gift time stacks on top of their trial. Example, 4 days of trial remaining + a 1-month gift = 34 days of Pro starting now.
Already on a paid Pro subscription: the redemption is refused with a message asking them to cancel their paid subscription before redeeming. Stacking onto a paid sub would waste the gift time. The code stays valid for 90 days so they have time to decide.
Already on Lifetime: the gift is marked redeemed (so you can see it was received) but no time is added, they already have lifetime access.

Tracking your gifts

If you were signed in to a BCKSTG account when you bought the gift, it shows up under Dashboard → Account → Gifts Sent with status (pending / redeemed / expired / voided).

If you were signed out, the purchase is still valid, you’ll get the Stripe receipt at the email you provided, but the gift won’t be linked to your dashboard.

Refunds and chargebacks

BCKSTG doesn’t offer self-serve refunds on gifts. Contact us at support@bckstg.co if there’s an issue, wrong recipient email is the most common case, and we can void and re-issue manually.

If you dispute the Stripe charge, the gift is automatically voided. If the recipient had already redeemed and is on the gift-trial, their Pro access is revoked. If they’ve since upgraded to a real paid subscription, they keep Pro, only the gift portion is voided.

Notes

No account required to gift. Anyone can buy; the buyer’s email only matters for the Stripe receipt.
The recipient needs an account to redeem. They can create one inline if they don’t have one.
Codes are 8 characters from an unambiguous alphabet (no 0/O/1/I/L) so phone-typed or printed codes don’t get misread.
Each code is single-use, once redeemed, the row is locked.
Gift Pro doesn’t unlock Lifetime features, only Pro tier. Lifetime is a separate tier, invite-only.
Pricing is fixed at $12 / $120. Both products are one-time charges, not subscriptions. No autorenewal.
