Once you sign and submit a release in Dashboard → Distribution, the release page shows where it stands and what to do next. The list has six tabs (Draft, Changes Needed, In Review, Approved, Sent to Stores, Live); open a release for its page.
Before release day
When we approve the release it appears on your BCKSTG page as a pre-save with the drop-day card. Fans who tap it join your Guest List and get the links the morning it comes out. On Pro, the release also gets its own page at bckstg.co/you/releases/the-release with a countdown and email capture; the link is on the release page under Links.
Release day
The morning the release goes live we find it on the stores by its UPC and ISRC and add the links to the release page: Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, YouTube, SoundCloud and Audiomack. We check again every hour through the day. A store we could not find shows "Not found yet" with Add link, which opens the release in Releases & Pre-Saves so you can paste it. Your Guest List gets the OUT NOW email and text with the links.
Performance
The Performance section shows total streams, the last 7 days, playlist placements and popularity for the release. It updates weekly from the stores' public numbers; they are estimates, not earnings. Open in Pulse has the rest of your analytics.
Earnings
Statements are emailed quarterly, within 45 days after each calendar quarter, per your release agreement.
Changes
Under Changes on the release page:
- Request a correction: title, artwork, release date or territories. We review it and send the update to the stores. Stores take days to weeks to show it.
- Take down release: removes the release from every store. It cannot be undone. Stores take days to weeks to remove it. Streams and earnings already counted still get paid. You write the reason, we get an email, and the release page shows Takedown Requested until the stores confirm, then Taken Down.
