BCKSTG connects to Spotify in two distinct ways:
Autofill (no login required)
During onboarding, search your artist name or paste your Spotify artist link, and BCKSTG pulls in your name, photo and latest release. Later you can paste your artist link in Dashboard → Profile to fill your name and photo again.
Pre-saves on your fan page
Fans pre-save your upcoming releases right from your BCKSTG page. They leave their email, plus a phone number if they want a text, then pick where they listen, like Spotify or Apple Music. Pre-saves come with Pro or with a release distributed through BCKSTG.
Release day, handled by Green Room
BCKSTG Green Room is our own release-day system, so your pre-saves never depend on a streaming service's alert. On release day it finds your release on each platform by its UPC or ISRC, fills in working Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal links, and YouTube, SoundCloud and Audiomack too if we distributed it, and messages every fan who left their email or phone, by email and by SMS when you choose to send one. Messages go out on each fan's local clock, never during their quiet hours. The fans who said they wanted to hear it find out it's out, and they stay on your list for the next release. Latest release pull at signup
When you tap Use this on a Spotify match during onboarding, we also add your most recent release, with its title, cover art, release date and Spotify link. You don't have to do anything. It shows up under Dashboard → Releases & Pre-Saves, ready to share. If your most recent release isn't the one you want highlighted, edit or replace it from there.
