BCKSTG platform texts and your Account Phone

What this is

Separate from the texts you send to your fans, there is one more SMS channel on BCKSTG: BCKSTG texting you about your account. Platform announcements, heads-ups about something on your account, an occasional real person when it matters. Your fans never see this number and never receive anything you send through it.

The channel is opt-in, Pro/Lifetime only, and uses a regulated double opt-in to confirm the number actually belongs to you.

How to opt in

1. Go to Account Settings and find the Account Phone section.
2. Type your phone number.
3. Check the consent box that appears next to the number field.
4. Tap Save.

We immediately text the number you saved, from the official BCKSTG line, with a contact card you can save and a single instruction: reply START to confirm. Texting back START stamps the confirmation timestamp on your account. Until you reply START, the number is on file but no platform texts can reach it.

If you mistype your number or change phones, just save a different number. The confirmation timer resets for the new number; the old one is forgotten.

What we will and will not send

We will send:

• Platform announcements that affect your account (an outage, a new feature you have access to)
• Direct messages from the BCKSTG team when something needs your eyes
• The activation flow for your own SMS number, if you set one up

We will not send:

• Marketing messages to your fans through this line. Ever. Your fans only hear from the number you assigned, not from us.
• Sales pitches for upgrades or third-party services.
• More than the announcements above. Message frequency is low and bursty (during platform events) and silent otherwise.

Where the messages live

When we text you, the message arrives at the number you confirmed. There is no inbox on BCKSTG for the messages we send you; they are real SMS in your phone like any other.

Revoking

Reply STOP at any time. The next moment, your account number becomes unreachable by BCKSTG, your consent timestamp is cleared, and we will never send another message through this channel without you opting in fresh. Reply START later and the channel comes back live.
