Exporting Tour Dates to Bandsintown (CSV)

BCKSTG can export your tour dates as a CSV in the exact format Bandsintown's Bulk Upload accepts. You download the file from BCKSTG and upload it manually at artists.bandsintown.com.

This is a free feature, available to all account types on every tier. Tour data is yours; helping you put it where your fans look is table stakes.

Why Bandsintown matters

Bandsintown is the syndication hub Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube pull from for the "Upcoming Shows" widget on artist profiles. Maintaining your dates inside BCKSTG and exporting them to Bandsintown means a single source of truth that propagates to every other surface fans use, without retyping each show across five platforms.

How to export

  1. Go to Dashboard → Tour Dates
  2. Click the Bandsintown export button in the page header
  3. The CSV downloads to your computer
  4. Sign in at artists.bandsintown.com and use their Bulk Upload tool to import the file

What's in the CSV

Every required column in Bandsintown's Bulk_Upload_Artists_Template is filled from your tour_dates row when the source data is present:

  • Artist Name, Venue, City, Country, Start Date, Start Time
  • Ticket Link (when present)
  • Timezone is auto-inferred for US shows from the state field; international rows leave it blank for you to fill before upload

Optional columns (Event Name, Description, Lineup, On-Sale Date, etc.) are populated when available. Otherwise they ship empty so Bandsintown doesn't reject the row.

Notes

  • This is a manual export + upload flow, BCKSTG does NOT call Bandsintown's API directly. Your Bandsintown account, your rules.
  • A separate Bandsintown API sync is in waitlist (see the Bandsintown article) and will be announced when access is granted.
