Adding Releases and Pre-Saves

Go to Dashboard → Releases & Pre-Saves.

For each release add the title, artwork, release date, type (Single, EP, Album, Mixtape) and streaming links. If it isn't out yet, set Status to Pre-Save and fans can pre-save it from your page. Pre-saves come with Pro or with a release distributed through BCKSTG.

On Free, a release that isn't out yet is Coming soon (no pre-save). It's picked for you when the release date hasn't passed. Your page shows it as your upcoming release with its date and a countdown. On the release date it turns into a regular release on its own. Add the streaming links when they're live. Until then fans see Links coming soon.

Releases show on your fan page newest first. Drag them in Releases & Pre-Saves to change the order. Free accounts can have 3 releases.

When you pick yourself from Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud or TIDAL during onboarding, BCKSTG adds your latest release. Add the rest here. The release editor's Source tab has one field. Paste a Spotify or Apple Music link, a UPC or an ISRC, and BCKSTG fills in the title, artwork, tracks, credits and the rest of the links.

Albums and EPs (full tracklists)

Albums, EPs, and mixtapes get a full tracklist on your fan page. BCKSTG pulls the tracklist from your linked DSP automatically, or you can pull it manually from the release editor. The tracklist opens in a modal on the public page. Fans tap a track and stream directly from the linked DSP.

Per-track details (BPM, Key, Lyrics)

Open any track in the editor to add:

  • BPM and Key show up in the public release popup beside each track, useful for DJs, sync libraries, and collaborators scouting catalog.
  • Lyrics show under the track in the same popup. Bilingual support: paste lyrics in EN, ES, or both.

These three fields are optional. Filled tracks render the extra info, blank tracks render clean.

Credits and Collaborators

The release editor has two credit sections:

  • Credits are the artists featured on the release. They show as a Feat. row of photos on the release card and in the Featuring list inside the release.
  • Additional credits are everyone else, like writers, producers, engineers, mixing and mastering. They show by name under the track you credit them on. Fans tap a name to open a mini-profile. You get this tab on EPs, albums and mixtapes. On a single, Credits holds every role.

Each credit is a Name + Role + Track row. Pick the role from the list, from Producer and Writer to Mixing, Mastering and Engineer.

Inviting a collaborator to BCKSTG

If a credited collaborator is not on BCKSTG yet, the editor offers an Invite to BCKSTG card on their row. Send the invite and they get an email from you with a claim link. When they claim, their profile is auto-linked to this credit AND they get a 7-day Pro trial on the house. Each account can get one trial. They only get the trial if you're on Pro or Lifetime, the release is already out on streaming (it has a UPC and track ISRCs), and their name came in with the credits BCKSTG pulled from the streaming services instead of being typed in by hand. If any of that's missing, the invite still goes out, just without the trial.

Hiding or deleting a release

Check Hide from my page in the release editor to pull a release off your fan page while you fix something, or to put an old one away. Fans won't see it on your page, your releases list or its landing pages, and it won't come up in search. It stays in your dashboard with a Hidden tag, and you can still open its landing page to check your edits. Uncheck it to bring it back. Hidden releases still count toward your plan's release limit.

Deleting a release (the trash icon) gets rid of it for good, along with its landing pages and any signup lists tied to it.
